Disco 3 Air Suspension Woes
Discussion
Our Disco 3 is at the dealer for the fifth time since Christmas, with the same suspension fault.
Each time my wife has been stranded at the roadside with a barely driveable car. I can vouch for this having recovered it from the A14 last time, followed by an AA truck at 15mph with the rear suspension on full off road setting and the front on the bump stops.
Has anyone else experienced these problems?
We moved from the dealer in Northampton after their second attempt at a fix, my wife got 2 miles down the A45 and the fault recurred; when she returned to the dealer the service manager told her they had no courtesy car, and told her she would have to drive off again, "break down" and call FR Assist. Nice. Peterborough are now on their third attempt since Feb. Each visit's at least a week.
It's an '07 Pursuit, which I think is HS or SE equivalent. Was in warranty when the fault first came up, but we've extended the warranty anyway.
We're getting close to giving up, you don't expect this level of unreliability in what's marketed as a robust, get you anywhere vehicle. Any advice would be welcomed.

We did swap dealers. The one we're with now is much better than the previous, but it has still been frustrating.
It's back again today and we've been assured that it has been fixed with a sensor replacement that was routine for cars within a few chassis numbers of ours.
It's a shame because when it works, the car is great.
Anyway keep your fingers crossed because we're off to Norfolk tomorrow in it...
Thanks cpas for the advice, if the fault happens again (and I wouldn't bet against it), I might be in touch.
