Hi - took the plunge and bought a discovery 3 - 2005 SE model - lovin it!

does anyone know if an ipod works through the Aux port? It certainly fits it easy enough but nothing happened when I hit play - do I need to synch it in any way? Its an Ipod classic I have - probably same age as the car!

Just select "AUX" on the headunit...

You'll need to turn up the volume on the ipod...

Also, you wont be able to control the ipod via the stereo/steering wheel controls, you have to use the ipod controls...

try another cable just in case the one you're using is duff....this happened when we first tried it, otherwise it should work ok.

You can get a replacement AUX panel for £26 from landrover. Pull the old one off and fit new one. If its not cable and not the aux unit then it MIGHT be the aux plugging into the back of the stereo? Otherwise the stereo itself?
Make sure the volume is up to 2/3rds on the ipod.
