Changing sets of wheels on a 2007 Range Rover 4.2l S/C Vogue
Discussion
I need some new tyres on my 2007 Range Rover 4.2l S/C Vogue. I'm thinking about getting a new set of wheels and putting road biased tyres on these and then keeping the old wheels for a more winter/off-road tyre. I'd then change them round was my usage change (most of my off-raoding is in the winter and road use in summer.
Question: would the tyre pressure sensors (I think it has pressure sensors) be a problem?

As I understand it tyre pressure sensors work by measuring the RPM of each individual wheel. An under inflated wheel will give a different RPM to all the others and therefore register as warning light. If you fit new , but identical sized wheels the the system should work fine. I don't know this as fact but presume it is how they work.

no they wont work,i've an 07 too and when i changed wheels the sensors on the old wheels are programmed for each specific corner,so even the new sensors wouldn't be recognised,
the only downside is an orange light in the corner of the instrument cluster which can then be covered by black tape, and you have no working sensors remember
this is only if you dont get the sensors changed over, the dealer is extortionate and indie's are reluctant to do it
