LPG Conversion on a 5.0 Supercharged Sport - Help please!
Discussion
Hi, I'm usually on other forums but have had a RR Sport 5.0 S/C Autobiography now for a month. Fantastic car and I knew the MPG would be horrific, but am aiming to have it converted asap.
I'm from West Yorks with an office in the Midlands so if anyone knows of a specialist who can do a conversion on these I'd be very grateful. I've rung a few who say they won't touch a supercharged engine.
Any idea's? Thanks.

Try JE Engineering in Coventry. They have a lot of experience of successfully converting the 4.2 S/C in the Sport, not sure about the 5.0 but they will give you an honest answer.
However! Converting S/C's often incurs set-up problems and is expensive at £6k+. That's a lot of petrol given you will be saving about 50% in fuel. At 18mpg and current prices that's about 20k miles just to breakeven! Also if yours is a 5.0 S/C then it will still be under LR warranty which will completely evaporate if you go down the LPG route. So my advice having converted a 4.2 S/C FFRR and run it for 30k+ miles over 18 months would be to run yours on petrol and sell it when the cost of fuel get's too much.

Another vote for JE Engineering here. Some people may do it but will not change the valves over. These need doing as the LPG is a 'dry' fuel system and you can have major issues if you don't fit hardened valves and valve seats.
Speak to Colin Musgrove at JE Engineering and say Mike Bishop sent.....he will look after you.

While £6k sounds a big cost, and 20k miles a big ask - if you are doing the miles it does pay, going back to 2000, my dad had an LPG done on p38 - it was a high end conversion with a 300 mile range LPG tank fitted, anyways it was a 20k mile payback for him, but he did the miles so had a couple of years where he was quids in.
Also at resale - it was true - that you could expect half the price back in added value, I haven't done a search, but it would be worth looking at RR with lpg 2nd hand prices vs those without to see if there is added value.

Sell it, buy a FFRR or a 3.0/3.6 TDV.
