Hi all - I've an 18month old TDV8 RRS and today it started doing the odd random beep whilst driving.

It's the same beep as when you readjust and store your memory seat settings.

There's no visible warning message on the dash. And the car is driving normally in every way.

Possibly the beep happens when I hit a small bump - but not convinced about that.

Any ideas what the beep might be trying to tell me?

May be way off the mark but the freelander we got makes a beep if the petrol light comes on, could it be you was low on fuel and going over the bump caused the sensor to read low fuel?

Has it always done it?
Someone I know had a problem with a sensor that was not essential, but was going to be expencive to replace. He asked his garage to remove the bulb from the warning light, which they did. However, he still got an odd random beeb. Cannot remember what sensor it was, but I think something to do with the brakes (could have been pad wear or fluid level).
