I have an 06 TD4 Freelander and tried replacing 2 worn michelin Syncrones with Michelin latitudes as the former aren't now available and as recommended by tyre dealer. My advice to anyone else is don't try this as they don't seem to match and the reaction is vibration and drivetrain noise.Land Rover dealers diagnosed driveshaft problems and one said flywheel needs replacing.Thought it was a cheaper option to replace the synchrones and Voila all is well and back as it was.Goes to show you shouldn't believe everything the dealers tell you as it can seriously affect your pocket and not solve the problem!

Glad you got it sorted in the end.

Synchrones are still available though, i got 4 brand new ones from blackcircles back in may for £645 delivered and fitted with balancing valves etc. I was going to get the latitudes but im not sure if they are M+S rated like the synchrones are. Do they have a M+S rating on them?

There are a lot better tyres on the market today, at better money than Michelin, you should not mix Syncrone with Latitude though.
