Hello

I have been fussing over what car to get for some time now & really fancy the new shape RR, but when I last took one for a test drive I thought the brakes were not up to much? they seemed pretty good in the RRS or is it just me? has anyone else had this thought? Is there an upgrade?

I know the new 4.0 Diesel will be out soon I'm sure with a Superior brake system to the currant model, but a new shape 09/59 plate 3.6 Vogue SE can be purchased at auction for around the £50k mark, I don't fancy spending £80k on the new 4.0D just for fancy brakes.

Thanks

Carlos

The Brembo brakes on the SC (optional on the TDV8 IIRC) are fine. Never had any problems except the cost of pads from the main dealer!

No Brembo brakes on the new shape 3.6tdv8 only if you purchase the new 4.4tdv8

Every RR I've ever driven have had superb brakes...and there have been a few. Probably a one off.

The 10 model year SC had an upgraded brake system fitted with the 5.0 engine. The new 4.4 TDV8 will be getting the same system.

What model did you drive? Was ita TD6 or a TDV8? I've found every RR TDV8 i've driven to have great brakes. Certainly more than enough for the car. Just wondering if what you've driven was an early model with worn brakes?
