Maintenance / servicing in central Scotland?

Was wondering if there are any recommendations for an independant garage - would need to be able to do engine diagnostics etc.?

Don't think our local main dealer is up to much!

I have just purchased a Rangerover and used these guys for a service and suspension problems. http://www.esalternators.co.uk/ . They charge £50 -£55 an hour compared to Land Rover who want £95 an hour for labour. Based in Kirkintilloch.

I had the same question. There are many decent indys in Edinburgh and Lothians, but no specialists for LR, AFAIK. One guy that is in the owners club said there is a chap that does servicing and everything, charges hardly anything for labour, has lots of parts etc. but that he doesn't want to expand his customer base, because he can't really keep up as things are.
