Anyone got any good choices for all weather use?

I've used the Pirelli OEM spec and found them good in all weathers including snow. Even managed to find some at £200 each at the time.

I fitted a set of Vredstein Wintrac 4 Extreme to mine in Feb, and have been very happy with them. Great in the snow up in the Alps, and perfectly fine through the summer too.

Reckon they'd cope with some off-road use as well?

If not was thinking of trying to find some 19" wheels and putting something more all-terrain/weather on for worst of winter plus some playing in mud.

Then keep the S/C wheels with a more performance oriented summer tyre.

Have the Continental Cross Contact UHP on mine, they have been fine in all weathers inc. snow and ice. They wear pretty good too; the fronts on mine have 20k + miles on and plenty of tread left. Never done serious off roading in them 'tho.

Did you "go local" or get them online for a good price?

Looking for a good deal as I'm likely to do all four a the same time (do it once and properly) smile

I ordered mine here

http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m67b0s...

Then I asked my dealer to fit them when it went in for a service.

Went local and got a mobile fitter booked. £105 per corner all in. Cheapest I could find online was £88 unfitted so I think I got a fair price

Camskill show £140 a tyre... how did you get such a good deal?

I'm in SE London - was your guy a national service? (assuming you're not SE London based)

anybody tried the general grabber tyre on the supercharged ?? - seem to get great reviews

my continentals are totally shot and given the near bald outer edges and poor wear generally i wont be going continental again.

Try not driving a 3 tonne 400bhp truck... it'll help far more than tyre choice wink

I'm looking to get 19" rims and an AT/Winter tyre on - the 20's can have summer/road tyres... there's a few mil left on the Conti's I don't want to waste smile
