Anyone put winter tyres on current Range Rover with 20 inch rims? If yes what make?

Thanks

The two recommended routes seem to be either Vredstein Wintrac 4 Extremes or...

Buy 4 x 19" off of Ebay and have a nice range of different tyres plus a more compliant ride for winter

+1 ^^^^^

I have just fitted 19's to my RR Sport over the standard 20's

Wintracs are ££££ more expensive in 20" versus 19"

The difference easily goes to a set of S/H alloys plus smaller tyres arguably work better in winter anyway

Cheers

Agree 19" a good way to go, we keep all Vred's from 17" to 20" in stock, best choice and price.

I put AT's on my 19's and bought a set of 20" for the summer.

We've put 19 inch General Grabber ATs on my wifes truck which are excellent at moving through snow but the rubber isn't a "winter" compound, so is no better on ice or cold roads than her standard tyres.

The slightly higher profile (55 as opposed to 50 on the standard tyres) has given the car a much more comfortable ride though.

Just to add... the GG ATs are only £160 at Devon 4X4 which is MUCH cheaper than the Nokians in "SUV" sizes (I've Nokians on my Subaru).

I put the new grabber AT on my supercharged RR with 20" alloys

They are mud and snow rated (M+S) rated and so far have been unstoppable in the snow here in scotland. Unlike winter only tyres they are good for the summer too and with 12mm of tread they should last for ages - they also look superb

I also just fitted a set of general grabber UHP to my wifes lexus rx - less aggressive than the AT tyre but they are also M+S rated and have also been unstoppable

Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme is a fantastic winter tyre and the new General AT is a great all round tyre which ticks most boxes.
