Disco boot stuck

Hi all
Recently picked up my entry to the land of 4x4 but I cant get the old back door open.
double clicked the key etc and tried it from inside but still wont open. door lock pops up and down with the rest of the locking mechanisms, just no purchase on either inside or out handles????
Any magic ideas please fire away

If you do a google search it's a common problem (One of the only one's that hasn't occured on mine yet......)

I think the cure involves flicking the land rover badge off and squirting the mech with wd40 but as previously said, google is your friend.
