Basically there is a section about 5 inched long at the bottom of the chassis edge ( Mid of vehicle o/s under the driver) The corrosion has eaten away the bottom edge of the chassis . There is also another 5 inch length on the last 14 inches of the chassis at the very rear. And a hole on the chassis right in between the n/s rear suspension link arm/bar mount. I suspect I will have to do more for the next MOT. I was hoping for 1 or 2 ft sections could be bought.
Thanks for the link.
Frank
Generally a cut out & plate session.

with greatest of respect ...if main chassis legs have gone 'mid-way' ... be a big undertaking to weld up and get a good result as your always chasing the rust once you put some heat into the metal.

Yes , this was my concern the way this has corroded I feel it will be a chasing game even after the repair. Definitely corroding from the inside out.with greatest of respect ...if main chassis legs have gone 'mid-way' ... be a big undertaking to weld up and get a good result as your always chasing the rust once you put some heat into the metal.
Would be nice to replace long lenths of chassis as I have no intention of buying a new chassis. NWAF. IMO
Thanks,
Frank
