Series 3 insurance (19 years old)
Discussion
Good evening chaps, I have lusted (oddly according to my friends and family) after a series Land Rover for a very long time. As it is nearing the summer, prices seem to be much cheaper and it is becoming a viable option. However, as always insurance is a hurdle.
Are there any specific insurers which are used by you to get a good price, be it classic or 4x4 insurance?
As a side note, is this man joking or is he trying to fool someone with his 'customised bonnet'? Made me chuckle anyway.

Now that's interesting how what appears to be an employee of Adrian Flux is suggesting insurance for a 19 year old, when I as an 18 year old have been refused insurance, on a series 2a as they don't insure anyone under 21.
I'm currently with the NFU and are good but as they increased the policy on my family Defender by £1100 I'm not confident they will still be good.
Footman James are good for classic policies, I suggest you give them a call.

To be fair, there's nothing on the post to suggest he's 19, and AF do tend to offer good priced policies for classic vehicles. I also agree thet Footman James offer good deals. It's best to be a club member as well as this will make you a better risk and make the insurance cheaper.I'm currently with the NFU and are good but as they increased the policy on my family Defender by £1100 I'm not confident they will still be good.

..apart from the thread's title - doh!!Thank you for the input chaps. I will give all these people a ring/e-mail. Beginning quotes look promising so far.
RossyIIa, I have heard the NFU are only good if you have had insurance with them for a while. My friends family has 11(!) cars with them and they are very reasonably priced, but when he tried with his own policy for his Defender they were very expensive.
