2002 P38 RCL Problem

Evening Fellas.

2002 P38 4.0 V8 Westminster, I have a problem with the remote central locking.

According to the manual it should resynchronise when you put the key in the ignition but nothing happens!

Both keys light up but dont work, any ideas? Or should I get it looked at by my local specialist?

It could be that the RF unit is out of Range. Or both fobs have had it. The fobs normally last about 6 years. I replaced both of mine.

Maz, out of daftness mate, try this:

Unlock the car with the key, then put the key in the ignition. Push the key further, it should press in, and the LED should flash a few times, then it should be synced. When you put the key in it feels like it's gone all the way in, but if you press the key further, the whole thing will push a bit further.

That's how mine syncs :-)
