Having come from the world of TVR and have a bit of knowledge on the 14 CUX (I scrapped it it on the Chimaera in favour of a stand alone Autronic ECU 375 BHP) has anyone fitted a Mark Adams chip in a RRC if so was it worth it?, not looking for more power (although would be nice) but a bit more economy maybe

cheers mark

I had a brief email from Mark about a chip for my 4.2.
He seemed quite happy wit the idea but (obviously) wanted to know a lot more details before committing himself or stating how it might improve things.
Well worth a chat at the very least.

I know that the ex SAS classics were chipped, next time I dig mine out I will open the ECU and have a look for any markings.

I used to have a '93 RR 3.9 many moons ago and I fitted an 'optimax' chip that I picked up 2nd hand.

It's all a bit dim and distant now, but I *think* the optimax was a Mark Adams chip sold by RPI.

TBH I never noticed any great difference. I was running on decatted downpipes (with the appropriate tune resistor) and a Janspeed exhaust system.

I would take the same approach now as I did then - if you can pick it up cheap enough then it might be worth a punt, failing that then probably not.
