FCA regulatory body/oft licence

Has anyone else dug in their heels over thse licence changes? (motor traders) Having just paid well over £1200 for a licence it is quite an imposition less than a year later to be told,(bearing in mind it was a lifetime licence hence so expensive)that it is now going to be cancelled,we may get a rebate one day but no one knows for how much or when,in the meantime we have to pay a further £350 for interim permission discounted by £90 if we sign up by the weekend,my argument being that when they took our payment for the old licence they knew it was shortly to be obsolete,in my opinion we should get a full refund and by now being the point where we have to pay out more, we should be told the rebate amount, but no they dont know ,more wasted money paid to the goverment this is nothing more than a revenue raiser,a total rip off.
