Website feedback for new company... Maybe some freebies
Discussion
Please can people have a quick look at a website I've just made for my company
I'm hope at getting going. It's my first attempt so be gentle.
I've been on it since the new year and Im really getting stuck with it now.
I'm worried the more I work on it the worse it's getting.
If I could have some feedback that would be great. Maybe some freebies....
For goods suggestions.

Thanks

Ive never said this before but I think it is excellent.
Simple, attractive and most importantly completely clear on what you do. You've managed to fit a lot of information on there without cluttering it and you can find whatever you want within a second of landing on your homepage.
Any changes suggested would be too trivial to be relevant, or just personal preference.
Good luck
Edit: Actually just one thing. The writing is just slightly too feint. I can see why, aesthetically, but it is ever so slightly hard to read

Very nice design, works well on my big PC monitor in Chrome, and on the iPhone with Safari as well.
I would echo the above that the font is slightly too feint, you really do have to 'try' to read it, even on the big monitor.
On the gallery page, if those are all your jobs, I would change the header at the top to 'Examples of our work' - works as a real testimonial page then also.

As a designer of 20 years I really like the site. Pretty much spot on in every way. My only issue, as others have said, is that the grey text is too light and blends into the background too much. You either need a darker shade of grey - I'd go for at least #575756 and probably #3c3c3b - or to have a plain white background.
The lower e-mail link isn't clickable.
On the copy front, you say 'At the Three Fish Sign Company our aim is to understand our customers’ requirements and work with them to achieve the best solution, always working to their time scale and budget.'
- when you could avoid mentioning the company name for a fourth time and just say: 'our aim is to understand our customers’ requirements and work with them to achieve the best solution, always working to their time scale and budget.'
Or: ' We understand our customers’ requirements and work with them to achieve the best solution, always working to their time scale and budget.'
Then again I appreciate you might keep mentioning it for Google purposes.
Love the way 'Signs' has become 'Creative Sign Solutions'. Everything's a damn 'solution' these days. Or a logistics. Or best of all, a logistics solution. Which is a truck. But then, I'm middle aged
I'm off to the creative catering solution to get some hungry tummy solution, I mean lunch

I would echo this. Also worth ensuring you comply with the companies act - not sure if you are company or sole trader but see Companies act heading in:

In general I think it's very clean & easy to navigate & any comments are only minor ones.
1) I think you need the final version proofreading by a spelling & grammar nazi as it really makes a site look a bit amateur when they aren't spot on. I'm setting myself up for a fall here but for instance:
"You only get one chance to make a good first impression, so it’s essential your business makes a great one.
Here at the Three Fish Sign Company, we can help you do just that"
I wouldn't put the commas in as I don't think they are required. All the text needs proofreading to tidy this up & correct the spelling mistakes (Please give us a call to arrange a free site visit and quatation).
2) Some of the text is in the almost the same colour as a link, but isn't actually a link. I realise it's part of the colour palette you have chosen but it's a bit confusing to click on blue text & find it's not a link.
3) Again I'm not an expert but I think your Contact page is missing some statutory information such as Company number & VAT number. You need to check what must appear on your website.

Thank you all for the feedback.
I understand there are some issues but when I'm waking up everyday
And sitting working on the website it's slowley getting be down.
I just want it finished now so any little glitches and ideas is gratefull.
Sign making was something I did 11 years back.
I've been working in sales at a car dealership for 10 years and doing 6 days a week.
There's no lifestyle work balance.
I thought it was worth a gamble so here I am.....
I will be a sole trader with registering the company next week when I get my business insurance and
google business veryfied.

Very good.
Now what about my Free Fish?
Sorry no free fish but maybe some stickers if the help keeps coming. Now what about my Free Fish?
I decided on the name as I didn't want the company to be named Graphix 2000, Signz and banners etc...
'Fish' is in my surname.
Do people think Three Fish is ok?
I also have the domain threefishsigncompany.co.uk
Thank again everyone
