I receive quite a few orders from foreign customers. Most of them are in Europe which is not a problem because we just use the transferwise service which is great.

I also occasionally receive orders from Australia and New Zealand but these are always a problem. For the latest customer I asked them to send £166 to our HSBC account and to make sure that they covered any charges at their end. We only received £151.

The problem is that transferwise do not have a local presence in Australia, and so for a customer to use them there is still a SWIFT transfer and associated fees.

Does anyone know of an equivalent to transferwise that can be used in other countries?

Surely the simplest solution for small orders like this is to accept credit card payment? A bank t/t is always going to be expensive for payments less than about £1000.
