Contract for a year
I ve been given a order for a years contract to service I site, I ve just been told by another company they have been asked to take it over from next months, as I see it the order stands until the end of the period

Subject to the terms of the contract, they might be required to pay you the remaining money you would be entitled to i.e. the monies due to the end of the year of the contract.

That's the thing we gave a quote for the year they accepted this by way of order and we carried out a couple of visits , but have had the other company contact me Friday to inform me of this.
As I see it they have issued an order for the year part completed so will have to deliver in full.
We also gave a 10% discount to keep it at the beginning

I hope that your contract is better-written than your post.

If your assertions are correct, I would send them an invoice for the full (annual) amount and see what the response is.

So you are taking the say so of another company that they've taken over your contract? I'd be asking for clarification from your client first - very unprofessional!

That's what I thought, I spoke to my site contact today( it's part of a large contract) and told them about the conversation I had with the other company's director , I was told there were rumours only, I think the are trying to stir things up as they want this site as they have most of the others.
