Selling Installation Work Leads...
Discussion
I am looking to start selling my CCTV installation leads generated from my website to a company I'm friendly with. They are interested and want to buy, I'm just curious as to what a fair figure is, is there a "going rate"?
The lead includes name, business and contact details and is very specific to the area etc so they are generally fairly decent leads as far as leads go, this isn't a business per ce, it's just a change in circumstances means I won't be doing the installation work myself any more but I don't want to give away leads for nothing as I get regular work from it.
Is £25 + VAT per lead too cheap/much/about right?

I used to pay £120+ for appointments so it sounds about right (IT & Telecoms sector), They used to price on the size of the opportunity so maybe you could come up with a matrix of some simple say 1-4 camera lead 5-8 ... you get the idea.
I don't do it any longer as I got frustrated with the quality of the leads. The only thing I would say is if they are not managing to convert them into orders they will get frustrated rather quickly too.
Indeed this could be down to a bad pitch but they may blame a bad lead and the relationship will soon become less friendly.

Have you considered sub-contracting the installation to the partner company, and invoicing your customers directly, whilst keeping a % margin for yourself.
