Hi Guys

Looking some opinions on accounting and payroll software options.

I presently run a small retail business with approx 20-25 employees and use a moneysoft payroll manager for payroll which I like and tasbooks for some invoicing (I find it a bit complex for general use) and as a result I use a now overly difficult and unreliable excel formula.

I'm starting a second business which will have one or two employees and I'd like a fairly simple system which facilitates invoicing, payroll, VAT and general accounting in a simple package that a numpty such as myself can operate for both businesses and ultimately get an employee to do.

Have been recommended xero and Kashflow and looking for feedback and opinions.

Think Xero would work well for you. Been using it for a couple of years now, very easy to use. You can add more than one "organisation", so easy to have two separate accounts.

You need to go for the more expensive package, but they do multi-currency, yes. :-)

If I were you I would stick with Moneysoft for the payroll.

They are excellent at keeping up with all the new diktats for payroll, it is pretty easy to use and you've already paid for it through the other company.
