If you got a couple of minutes, could you please give me your thoughts on the current version of www.turatello.co.uk

I had the website on for a couple of months on and to be honest not much came in through the website. Somebody actually said they can't see the contents at all, it shows blank white. I did try it on a few computers and it was ok, taking a few seconds to load initially but getting there in the end.

Curious what others think on layout and contents. Thanks in advance!

Immediate thoughts were that it looked quite amateur, then I noticed it had been built using Wix...

Honestly, if you can't afford to have a web designer create a custom design for you, then take advantage of the professionally designed templates out there. Use Wordpress (hosted or self-hosted), or a decent point and click website builder like SquareSpace or SiteJam.

All in all, without going into too much detail, the website is OKish, not really bad, just not very good. Plus it isn't responsive, which is a massive no-no for any new website.

Your trailers are awesome!

Your website isn't.....

I would seriously consider getting a proper web designer to make you a decent website that really shows off how good your product is.

I'd hazard a guess that one trailer sale from your website would cover a decent website build cost?!

It looks very much DIY, nowhere near good enough to sell what you do. Spend some money and get it built properly.

I will agree with what the others have said, but I dont know what your budget is, perhaps this is what you can afford at the moment.

If its the case of making it work...

Lose the Italion flag, my first thought was you are in Italy!
Drop down menus do not work well for mobile devices, consider your design.

My work computers (a company with over 100,000 employees) are running an outdated browser (and we don’t have the admin privileges to upgrade ourselves).

I too am getting a blank white screen, which means 99,999 other people are too.

Fair enough guys, really appreciate the feedback, I'm glad I asked. Indeed I cobbled it together with Wix and well, it's shambles. I'll ditch wix and consider something done properly. Thanks for making up my mind!

I was going to say it looks like a WIX job.

Spend the money and get a decent one IMO. Even a WP template that's customised would produce a better end result without the full design/dev costs

It looks very basic.

- The flag banner, doesn't do anything. That's the first thing you see (especially on a mobile device) and doesn't sell the product at all.
- Why do you have a pdf price list and not product pages? I wouldn't bother downloading that to find out how much anything costs.
- Your blog isn't updated very often, seems like the site isn't regularly updated.
- The layout and navigation is poor, again it doesn't inspire me to shop your website
- You don't have an address on your contact page
- Try to incorporate your youtube video's in product pages or embed one on your home page.
- Your shop only has 3 products
- If you click on some of your slideshow images they don't link to anything.
- Your add to cart button is white and only appears when you hover over it
- When you try to purchase online it informs me that you can't accept payments online, why bother with an online store?

It feels very amateur overall, if you're selling fifteen grand products I would expect to buy them from a professional looking outfit. There are numerous errors on the website and you can't purchase from it anyway. You do provide good product details and information which is a plus but why bother with that type of website if you can't sell?

You would be better off creating a look book or brochure style website which then encourages visits or telephone orders.

Struggling to understand the logic behind that website. It's obviously been put together by a layman, but selling high luxury products to what must be fairly well heeled individuals. We would probably charge £1k - £2k for a fully responsive brochure site of that scope (without ecommerce). No idea what the profit margins of the business are but you would have to think ONE new customer would pretty much cover the cost of such a site.

Also think it also safe to assume that some potential customers would be actively put off the products because of the website. Rightly or wrongly, people will associate an inferior website with an inferior product. No offence intended to the OP - just observations!

One other point when considering your (re)design

The photography is just not good enough for your product

Yes totally agree. Considering we are mainly selling through the internet, the photography should be better. Good point!

Quick thread resurrection. Following the previous feedback, we've now launched v2.0 of www.turatello.co.uk. In Wordpress this time.

Constructive feedback welcome!

Photographs are much better but why is there is a (non vertical) lamp post in this pic

They are also too big! There is nothing to read above the fold
