I've very recently launched www.fiveraday.co.uk. I can do some minor revisions, so as blokes are probably my target audience, where else better to ask? All constructive feedback gratefully received.
Thanks!

Decent site and interesting reading. Initial thoughts on what it was going to be before doing any reading had me expecting some finger-wagging about eating my greens... I see what you're trying to do with the site name but I don't think it works. Thanks!

Observation #1 - the site appears to be hosted on a potato. Sort out the hosting. It's a UK based site so why does it have the sort of response time you'd expect when clicking on a site hosted in the Marshall Islands?
2 - Home page layout annoys me. Why do we have 3/4 page of largely nothing and then 1/2 of a baby's face?

3 - The repeated use of the word "adviser" is strictly correct but for people acting in a professional capacity as you are doing you should be using the correct term which is "advisor" (which is also correct).
4 - in your first paragraph on your 'charges' page, what bit is vital to remember? I would say that bracketed bit should be before "and", not after it.
5 - in the next two paragraphs you are mixing numerical figures with written figures which is a no-no. Use one or the other. If you want to remain consistent, why have you written £25.00 and not twenty five pounds when you went to great lengths to write seventy five pence? In short, put it all as figures. The same applies a few paragraphs further down. You need to remove the period after "liquidity" in the last paragraph too.
6 - footer: "If you have any doubts as to the merits of investment, you should seek contact us for clarification or see advice from another independent financial adviser."

7 - about page: "We allow you to set your preferences and let our algorithm do the rest – we arrange the buying and selling, the trading, the rebalancing re-balancing and minimising of taxes.

8 - there seems to be a bit of an identity crisis too. One one page you have "Fiver-a-Day is a Trading Style of Wealthcare (1985) Ltd (FCA Reg 569260), an Appointed Representative of The Whitechurch Network Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority." yet on others you have "© Parmenion Capital Partners LLP 2006-2015. All rights reserved. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Registered in England OC322243. Registered office: 2 College Square, Anchor Road, Bristol, BS1 5UE."

9 - the hosting is a serious concern. Taking in excess of 10 seconds for pages to respond on a 100MB connection here. That will lose you potential business as people won't wait that long. If I'm honest if I hadn't purposely been "reviewing" the site and had just landed there from an internet search, I would have already closed the tab and gone to the next company in the search results.
All in all it's a good clear and informative site for people like me with no clue about investing. I think the FAQ page should be more prominent instead of being hidden away behind the 'start investing' button. The FAQ itself is good.

ETA: it seems that Parmenion Capital is nothing to do with you as such and you're just acting as broker to them?

How are my investments and money looked after?
In order to provide advice to you and in making recommendations we undertake a thorough due diligence process. As a result of our extensive due-diligence we selected Parmenion to provide the administration and investment management that supports our online advice service. Parmenion is an independent and privately owned company founded in 2007. They are backed by some of the most experienced investment and technology executives in the industry.
Parmenion do not take on clients directly, but only offer investment and administration solutions through professional wealth management and financial planning firms. Like us, they are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Under FRN: 462085
ETA2: The blog page annoys me too. Stuff all over the place with no kind of chronological order. Just looks like a jumbled mess. Also, enough of the fruit references ffs. Complete overkill and totally unnecessary. In order to provide advice to you and in making recommendations we undertake a thorough due diligence process. Looks good but fails the basic test. What do you do and what is your USP. I wouldn't bother reading further after the few lines fail to tell me that. 'Think Ronseal'. Also, I don't expect to pay for financial advice. For me its all bit 'blah blah' and not enough about what you do, the benefits and why use you.
Appears that this page is borked as well, from the 'fresh outlook' link buried at the bottom of the front page, but seemingly not linked anywhere else.

Some *very* good points, thank you - especially the more technical ones. I'll look at them. Those typos, agh - too long spent looking at the same screen, the same edits.
The investments are co-managed with Parmenion which, itself, also has FCA permissions. Hence the doubling up.
Immediate issue seems to be the speed and the hosting. Currently, it's with 123 Reg - I certainly need to do something about that.
Frimley, you raise an interesting point. Some of its new clients don't even realise it's an advised site, they just like the fact it's cheaper than HL, Charles Stanley etc. When I point out the fact it is advised and cheaper, they're a bit stumped!
Thank you.

Out of interest, and I defer to a greater insight if I'm doing it wrong, did you see this on the home page?<<Are you investing your fiver a day?
Quick, highly affordable, simple, online financial advice.>>
I'm not being facetious, I thought that was quite clear?
I'll refine the woolly bits.

Next line says "Quick, highly affordable, simple, online financial advice" - Do people buy advice, do they buy it online what sort of financial advice? Its too vague IMO, Think about what someone will read and what they will understand without any knowledge of really what you do.
How about (and excuse me for not fully understanding what you do) something like "Make more money from your investments quickly, simply and fast".

Yes I did. But what does 'Are you investing you fiver a day?' mean? What fiver? In what?

Interesting. Firstly, I can't make claims like that - I'd be crucified! In the UK, people still don't buy advice online (they do in the States) so it's still something for the early adopters; I think I was the first a few years back, the tech wasn't ready so I canned it, but now the functionality has caught up. I'm the third, possibly fourth biggest. The concept is completely new, so you're right - the idea is difficult to get across. In a few years though, it'll be as familiar to us all as banking online now is. It doesn't extend to the saver the investment information required and the complexity of decision making skills. It elicits information from a client and offers a portfolio (my risk rated portfolios are all passive, rebalanced quarterly and include dealing and discretionary management).
It identifies to clients where the information provided does not fit the automated model and guides the client out of the process towards more personal advice. HL will start one soon, unquestionably - online brokerages as we know them, where you see people (on places like here) asking about when, how and what funds to buy and sell, will be seen as archaic.
My all in ongoing fee (advice, funds, rebalancing, platform, dealing, DFM, reporting etc) is 0.82% pa. I didn't respond to your point earlier about paying for advice because I was after site feedback, but those people who want to engage online, but who don't have a clue about investing, can certainly benefit from sites like Fiver a Day.
