Hi all,

I work in events and we have several events abroad each year with a cash taking bar. We would like to take card payments, but the few I have looked into (paypal, iZettle) don't allow you to take them abroad. The events require a mobile machine, ie something that can work through a iphone, and will need to be quick transactions (not inputting lots of card numbers etc). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Not sure how iZettle would know it's abroad, given that it could be running through cellular data, or wifi.

That was my thoughts. I might just try it and see. Unless anybody else has experience?

If Paypal and iZettle are the solutions you think will work for your situation can you see if the readers are available in your target countries (I'd be very surprised if they aren't) it should then be fairly simple to get a local SIM card for the phone.

You should be able to link back to one account for the payments, the only thing you'd need to watch for would be the commission on currency exchange.
