After nearly a year of having my business things are looking good.

I asked earlier in the year on criticizations for my website, ive added things people suggested.
Its slowly ranking quite well on a local search now. Ive done all of this myself so please be gentle.

As most of my enquiries seem to be from my website im just after a little feedback.

Do people think the website looks dated? i know its not on the graphic design side of things.

Ive been adding images of completed work and price examples as people recommended.
Also ive asked customers for testimonials for work ive completed with 4 google reviews and plenty of emails,
shall i add these to a page on the website?

Facebook and Twitter ive have tried to keep updated. One problem in not sure if anyone can help
is when i add posts on Facebook it also adds them to Twitter but without the images, i then have to
delete the tweet then add it again with images, im not really up on this and might be doing something stupid.

Not just a click on my wesbite thread, just after some help and different views from fellow Pistonheaders....

A few freebie stickers are up for grabs if anyone needs some for their business etc.

Don't ask for testimonials, write them yourself. That is to say write them (honestly) and get the client to agree to put their name to it. The two benefits are it's done when you want, not when they can be bothered, and more importantly it allows you to nail all the issues potential customers might have e.g. cost, timescales, service etc, so it's another subtle marketing piece.

There are some photos on the top gallery in the products age which don't show the sign in full, Diok? Supernice? etc. Get better pics or remove imo.

People on here can comment on the site but as you say it provides most of your enquires so you'd be better asking your clients what they think. They're the ones you want to take money from, so what they say goes.

Looks fine, I'm sure anyone in your area looking for signage would have no hesitation in using you.

Watch out for this sort of thing-

"You only get one chance to make a good first impression, so its essential your business makes a great one.
Here at the Three Fish Sign Company, we can help you do just that."

The 'its' is short for 'it is', and it needs an apostrophe.

My only adverse comment would be grey, and it makes some of the text a little harder to read than I would like.

Layout itself looks good.

From a technical standpoint it's horrid - slow to load and 5.3Mb initially - it then continues to load the the same bloated png ?? images over and over again in the background ??

I like it. Lots fine for me but might be an issue on mobile networks.

You should do an area for domestic customers as the frosted windows product is very popular.

It's not responsive is it? And yes, those images made from .png files are huge. Not reason to not use .jpg files here. (PNG is great for things like transparency and drop shadows but it sucks for bog standard photos.

I think your images should probably have relevant file names too.

Looks very nice though.

I guess its slow because of the png files then. There is a faint patterned background to the website that i wanted rather than plain white.
As i dont want the images/logos to have a white surround im using png files, i think with jpeg i cannot do this?

My website has hundreds of JPGs on it and they don't have white edges. Maybe a template trying to be too helpful?

Jpeg's don't have to have white borders. I'l send you a pm as I do this sort of stuff all day long. I'll give you some pointers if you wish.
