Small Business Lead Generation Books
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to expand my knowledge on lead generation for a small business operating in the home improvements marketplace. I'd appreciate a book recommendation that offers some good theory as well as practical tips on lead generation methods that are bang up to date (i.e. no point in reading about mid-80s leaflet drops in 2016).
Thanks

Are you looking for the answers for the price of a book or are you looking for the answers and prepared to invest some time and money?
If it's the former I can't help (we'd go out of business quickly!). If the latter then I'd be happy to see if I can. We specialise in helping small businesses do exactly what you require. Marketing theory, practical help and contacts with potential clients. It's not a magic wand, you won't get rich quick but if you put in some effort you will see results.
Happy to give you more info if you like.

Well, my budget is relatively small to start with so I'm not going to go nuts. I guess I was looking to acquire some ideas and knowledge so that - hopefully - I spend my time and money more effectively.
Obviously, I could do a google search and I'm sure there are countless websites and articles on small business lead generation. However, I'm also sure that 99.9% of them will have a sales motivation (i.e. to get you to purchase a product or service). That being the case, the content may have little to no real basis in fact or value. I figure with a book you've already paid the fee to get the content and so the author has made already made the sale before you turn a page. Logically, the content should be true to the best of that persons knowledge.
