What is the best way to get rid of these?

We as a company have nothing in place and will get 2-3 a week and now its getting a bit tight on space. Is there Company's that will buy them in Sussex?

For any damaged ones, offer them to your local scouts / rotary club or whoever has the big annual bonfire?

The business we used to work at used to just save a big pile and then there was a local guy would come and collect them. They were worth about £5 each apparently so long as they had the EUR stamp. That was a few years ago now...

If they are a genuine stamped Euro - i.e. have EUR stamped on a corner block then they are worth something - up to £4 each but price depends on how clean they are, any damage & whether the supporting blocks are made from proper wood or chipboard.

You can Google for pallet dealers & they will come & collect them - again only if they are stamped Euro pallets. If they are broken or not stamped then you need to either pay to get rid or find someone who is collecting them. Some charities can collect as they upcycle the wood into outdoor furniture as projects.

I have the opposite problem - trying to stop local "do as you likeys" from stealing ours!

Will look in to it thanks Vaud!

As for Ebay its very difficult as if they are sold on we would need to show a trace of the sale from the office to the end buyer. Even thou we can store for a year then write them off our stock holdings and be able to give them away. Where as if we sold them we would need to declare them. This is what I've been informed. They did suggest setting a business up and buy them for a nominal fee then sell them on but its to much hassle.

Try All Pallets Ltd at Newhaven on 01323-744057, they will probably only collect for nothing but may give you something if you deliver to them.

I know a pallet guy (but in Yorkshire).

I know some of his clients solve the accounting issues very simply with £ notes.

Probably not legal, but that's the way they do it!
