Hi,allow me to introduce myself. Firstly I am English and a fully qualified Engineering Technician.
I sucessfully ran my own garage for 25 years before selling the business.
Now I wish to build another business but require a business partner.
My passion is Classic and High Performance cars. I have immense pride and satisfaction in what I do and as such am honest and ethical and set very high standards. It is important to me that work standards and customer service levels are the highest.
Looking to meet with individuals with a similar mindset who are interested in building a quality business in the Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire area. Individuals need to be honest, business minded,
positive and hard working.

Might I suggest you indicate what else you would require from the prospective partner?

Good attitude is all very well but if you need (for instance) money, somewhere to do it, specific skills, a particular level of commitment then you would be well advised to say so right away rather than waste their and your time should any of those things not be available.

Is that relevant to you work/proposal?

Indeed the commitment to build a business is immense as is a substantial financial investment. As to
specific skills I require someone that is a highly skilled technician.
However my mind is open as to the direction of the business. The business model would be agreed between both parties.

Is it now a crime to say you are English?

You are still be a bit reticent. Do you have a workshop already, or do the pair of you then have to set out and find something?

As to 'substantial', one man's substantial is another man's out of reach.

What is that the pair of you will be able to do that one of you, given the dosh, wouldn't be able to do on his own?

If I was going into business with someone I'd like to know their nationality, yes. This forum is global.

We will have to set out and source premises dependant on which direction we wish to take.
To set up any motor industry related business will take tens of thousands of pounds due to equipment required and technolgy involved again dependant on business direction.
I am not meaning to be vague, but many directions are possible and all of these will take different levels of investment but the right person will be aware of this, having industry experience.
The objective of a partnership to me is to share costs, responsabilities, business commitments, views, ideas as well as goals and rewards. I do not wish to go on my own.

Interesting subject.

I too would, from time to time, have liked to have had a full time partner in my business. Not managed to make it happen so far and not looking at the moment. But the process of finding someone and setting something up that is of mutual benefit is one that I find fascinating.

One hears stories of partnerships breaking up and financial difficulties ensuing, but funnily enough the partnerships I'm aware of seem to work really well.

Best of luck in your search.
