Very naive Adwords question
Discussion
Hoping some of you experienced internet types can help out.
Brief background, small "home based" accountant, moved into new area and looking for new clients. Small businesses wanted, plumbers, joiners, hairdressers, etc etc - you get the idea.
So, new website acquired which I'm happy with and although early days (2 weeks) it does seem to appear on google searches. Added to google+ and basic Facebook page set up.
So, get an email offering free £80.00 of adwords if I spend £40 so thought I'd have a go! First add set up and has been running for a few days.
The thing I don't understand is why some clicks cost 35p and others cost £4.00. I have the "Adwords Express" dashboard where it seems I can only alter daily averages and monthly spend?
Can someone enlighten me please?

In short, some searches will have far more competition than others so to get to the top of the page you will end up being charged more. The first thing to do is to set a daily budget and also a maximum bid for key searches - otherwise you will blow your £80 very quickly! I don't use Adwords Express but this is fairly easy to do in the normal Adwords.
