BT obviously have major problems, we've been on and off all afternoon since about 2:30pm and it's now on BBC

To make matters worse when it is working BT have decided to change our static IP addresses so we now can't email out because our anti-spam company need to change to that new address from their end and it takes 30 minutes or so.............when everything is working, which it's not!

Ah well, hardly a third world problem but frustrating never the less!

It's been a bloody nightmare, work was awful today. Quite new to the job and couldn't get anything done (I don't know product codes off by heart unlike others there so I need the internet), we all certainly take it for granted!

We are receiving and transferring files all day every day and it's been st today, in fact on a scale of stness about 13/10

Seems sorted now however we don't know how many emails we sent got through or how many emails didn't get through to us........and who from!

I can echo the above. Software company, 35 staff, 90% of our clients are abroad, completely reliant on the internet, and we had nothing from 1430 onwards. At 1800 there was still nothing, I've had to leave and leave them to it.
BT Support didn't even answer, the map for faults just collapsed, I hate to think what the total cost has been to the countries businesses! It certainly effected us quite badly.

Email servers usually back off and try again later, for a few days, depending on exact configuration and the "priority" that was set when the message was sent, so you will probably get almost everything eventually.

I had this yesterday too, and even worse for us was our BT Cloud phone being down too - so who knows what that may have cost us in business.

I couldn't get online to reroute to another number, and couldn't get through to BT on my mobile. Arrrggghhhh.

Can we get compensation for this anyone?
