Printing off documents on the road/on your travels
Discussion
I used to do that and it was a pita. Mail Boxes Etc will do it, as will other wee computer or print type shops but it's a bit hit and miss. Remember using Minuteman Press as well. For 50p or £1 you can understand why most won't want to know.
I ended up getting a Samsung Note so I could have the document all the time, edit it as required and have them sign it with the stylus.

Thanks. I was just wondering how people got round it if they absolutely needed to print off documents to get the actual hard copy whilst on the move, with no access to home or office at that time. I've seen that people often use their hotel before setting off which is ideal, but if you were doing lots of mileage on the roads would an outlet at motorway services be a convenient option? I know lots of services now have business meeting rooms and the like, but are they happy to just let you run in, print off 10 pages and shoot off again?

Buy a Bluetooth printer for £50, and a power inverter for £25 so you can power the printer from your fag lighter.
This could work well for the right person. I used to have a decent inverter when I was a wagon driver for tv, laptop, xbox etc. It was fine as the vehicle was always mine, and acres of storage space in the wagon so no issues. I just wonder how many people could be bothered to cart it round with them in the car? Still leaves a gap for people that maybe fly in and use rental cars everywhere, or just can't be bothered to get their own. Would people fork out the £75 outlay over diving into a motorway services, or similar location as and when for a couple of quid at a time?
I'm only curious

Well I originally assumed that you had a need. I now suspect you are trying to invent a solution...Would people fork out the £75 outlay over diving into a motorway services, or similar location as and when for a couple of quid at a time?

Both.
For me your idea would work well.
It just got me thinking though that a lot of people just want quick and easy in today's world. I don't imagine to many car drivers, (business wise/reps) are still carrying flasks or coffee machines when they can dive into Costa Coffee, Wild bean and the like and splash out 2-3 quid for a quick and easy coffee.

I carry a decent sized Asda box around in the boot of my car complete with £30 robust printer, high quality paper, spine binders and some spare ink. I refer to it as my mobile office and simply ask clients if I can borrow a plug point for a few minutes. The fact that I'm printing them off a quality bound document and that I'm organised overrides the fact that I'm plugging a £30 printer into their wall for 2 minutes.
I can't be bothered mucking around printing in the car and I don't trust myself to remember to charge battery operated printers. I also don't want anything too expensive in case it gets damaged.

I had an HP portable printer that ran on 12v. Used to keep it in the back of my car, mainly used for printing off some plans and specs for the guys on site, or the odd quotation if I thought I could get a sale there and then. Then email came along!
Can't think of the last time I've needed to print anything whilst 'on the road'. I needed some plans recently but they where A0, just stopped at a local print shop.

Exactly as pointed out above. What is wrong with electronic forms and email!?
Emails go missing, documents get lost or deleted, hard drives crash. It is a declining market for sure but some people still prefer paper. And in some cases it's good to have a back up or a physically signed copy.
Epson do actually make this sort of thing for people who need to print on the move:
https://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesit...
About the £190 mark though, but has a battery good for 50-100 pages and can charge over USB or via a car adaptor.
