Startup - Companies act Section 551 help requested pls!

Hi

I am a small shareholder in a startup that has recently issued further equity.

I was hoping someone on here might have 5 mins free for me to PM them to help me understand Waiver of pre-emotion rights etc...basically so I am not getting shafted!!

Pre-emPtion rights are your rights as a shareholder to buy any shares being issued in a company before anyone else.

If you waive these rights it means other people can buy the shares, thus diluting your shareholding.

This is not always a bad thing.

But really if you don't understand the implications you need to speak to someone who does. There are lots of variables to consider.
