Is there such a thing as a business bank account that gives benefits such as private lounge access etc?

Cheers

I business bank with lloyds and ask my relationship manager when they call me once a year whether I can have the personal banking for free. The one you'd normally pay approx £15 per month for. My personal account held elsewhere doesn't have much in it or much going through it. Business bank has a decent balance and decent sum going through it. Enough for me to get free business banking

They always say no. Because it is a separate business. I do reckon exceptions can be made and will pursue it in a couple of months when I have more time.

Lloyds use the same team as relationship manager for both business and the personal banking - so you should be able to...

HSBC did give us free premier personal accounts for a while, but have pretty much stopped every perk now

Useful to know, thanks!

Are you aware of anyone getting personal banking perks on the back of business banking credentials?

I think its unusual because- if you think about it, the business has the bank account, and you (and whoever else) are just signatories. Some charities could have a dozen signatories, with half of them changing ever 12 months and you cant offer all of those personal benefits. They might be able to target you for premier banking based on the business turnover, offer a better credit card rate etc

Thanks folks, looks like the AMEX card is probably the best bet. Though it might be cheaper to just pay for lounge access...

Having moved about a bit, I've had some great premier account managers who were happy to do anything, business included, and one who would barely do anything at all.

You'd be wasting your time. They won't be able to do this.

And this isn't true.
