I bought a set of 4 tyres from an online tyre retailer who are based in The Netherlands. When the tyres arrived they had sent 2 different types of tyre, the rear ones were correct but the front ones were a different type. I asked them if they could send correct ones by express as I needed them for a deadline but they refused and told me they would take about 6 days which was of no use to me. I told them I wished to return the tyres which they agreed by phone, however they have only arranged to collect the incorrect type and not the others unless I pay £22 per tyre totalling £44.

As I bought these tyres as a set should I expect them to take the whole consignment back at their expense?

Dont quote me but I have been reading up on this bloody directive and in this case I think if bought online if its one set of 4 tyres on checkout then yes you can however if you have 2 sets of 2 items on your checkout then no you cannot.
