Like most companies we have a google page which has reviews.

We don't have many, about a dozen over the last few years so ave 2 or 3 a year.

I would like to get more reviews as we get a lot of e-mails in each year giving (in most cases) praise to our service and products. Probably talking 20-30 emails a year.

I generally respond with a short thank you and also instructions on how to get into google reviews and leave us a review. To date no one has.

I think the instructions sound over complex (its actually pretty easy).

Anyway, what I am wondering is can a website (tinyurl?) be used to create a link directly to the "write a review" page of our business?

I have looked around and it seems google don't offer this service?

Thanks!

Well link works (thanks). Just had a customer send the usual "thanks for great service etc" email. So I replied back with the link saying you can leave a review if you have time. And he went and left a 3 star review... wtf.... I give up.

You made his life more difficult by asking him to do something extra.

I did someone the favour of leaving a review on a site called something like thrustpirate. That site then proceeded to spam me repeatedly. Eventually got them to stop that and resolved never to go onto anything similar again

There is a fast-building resilience from people against registering their details online against anything that is not 100% essential to their lives
