Looking at a pre-reg van through Ford on HP.
Van is 15,500 + Vat.
Vat + small deposit £5,000
Repayments over 4 yrs £362.40 or 3 years £458.47
Don't want lease as the mileage may be high.

Not sure wether to go with this or a Merc Vito on their offer of 0% HP but it's dearer at 18500 even with their deposit contribution, but the 0% put it nearly the same as the Ford after all.

The Ford deal reasonable or steep?

If over the longer term the Vito deal probably better in my opinion due to much higher residuals. yes

If I were you I'd be pushing for a better deal on the finance of the Ford - those figures are working back to about 7% flat / 13% APR roughly. (that's assuming £15,500 + VAT = total £18,600, less £5,000 - total to borrow £13,600)

While Mercedes are offering a better interest rate, it's usually in the absence of any meaningful discount on the vehicle (as they have to subsidise the 0% rate).

Have a look at the Trafic; 0% HP over 48m with a 20% deposit, 4 years warranty, RAC and servicing?

I did a Trafic Sport 120 SWB the other day; £4086.64 deposit, £340.55 per month over 48m.

Rented one of these for a few days. Not a bad van and pull well. Problem is the £20k new price compared to the £13.5k pre-reg price.

What would be realistic target rate for HP these days on a pre-reg commercial?

I bought a year old ex demo Vito, 10k miles, approved van, A/C,comand system, cab heater, made more sense than new as you are putting the miles on anyway, 8k off list.

The figures given above is £20432 Inc vat (includes ply), for a Sport 120, you won't get a Sport 120 for £13500 Inc VAT anywhere, we are selling pre reg Sports for £15500 +VAT (£18600 Inc vat).

You'll find a pre-reg Business 90 or 115 for around £11k + VAT.

The 0% HP offer also includes 4 years/90,000 mile servicing.

Yep, thank you. Did have a quick look at your site from your profile. Going to have a look at the Merc and then see which way I jump.
