Hi All,

As per the title has anyone purchased or sold a business predominantly trading on one of the marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay.

I know this does happen however I have a questions around this:

1) How do you go about valuing a business to buy it - in my humble opinion there is more volatility selling on a marketplace therefore would it be worth less than say another business?

2) If a amazon business is purchased or sold and you already have an account then how do they play with this, if you have a current amazon selling account and are going to buy another business that has one, then what, do they allow you to have both? OR
If you have a business selling on amazon and sell the business with the account then are you allowed to open a freash one?

Depends what you mean by 'business'. I bought a limited company which traded on Amazon (among other places), and rhe chanfe of ownership was effectively irrelevant as far as Amazon would be concerned.

Thanks for the reply, where you already trading on amazon before buying the LC or is that the only account you have with amazon.
Amazon are funny with number of selling accounts you have per household nevermind per person.

I wasn't, so it's the only one.
