We handed all of our stock over to a fulfilment company who have a super secure warehouse and all that jive. However they're included insurance cover doesn't cut it. And so I need to arrange our own cover.

It's insurance purely for stock, being held in a secure warehouse. Nothing else. Any advice on decent insurance companies that will do this? A quick Google seems to offer a million and one things and I don't need anything other than the stock insured.

Yes; not very competitive... I wondered if there are any special insurers or packages for this type of thing.

This can be covered stand alone under a stock throughput policy, or a modified marine cargo policy.

Start from around £250 upwards depending on what it is, how secure its, how much their is

If you are going to insure the stock elswehere of your business insurance are there any implications from a Business Interruption cover point of view with the main policy (assuming you have cover)? Is there a potential to get caught out in the event of a claim (for example a fire or break in at the storage facility) and you potentially not being protected from a loss of profit or increased cost of working point of view as your main policy did not also insure the stock?
