Having issues with the router supplied with our business broadband and believe it's due to the quantity of connections.
Any recommendations for a decent router to replace?
Thanks

The answer will vary a lot depending if you have 5 staff or 500 and have a budget of £50 or £500.

(May want to ask in the Computer forum too smile)

And might well involve a ADSL/VDSL ethernet modem as well as a router.

Cheaper the better obviously wink

we have c30 connections on it at the moment. Mixed wired/wireless.
Would like ability to restrict certain websites on certain devices if possible.

Best bet is to get one device for each thing you wish to do. So as mentioned upthread, if you are on a VDSL connection get a VDSL modem (e.g. DrayTek Vigor 130), have a separate gateway/firewall device (e.g. DrayTek, ZyXel), into a gigabit switch, and separate wireless access point(s).

If you want to restrict websites then realistically you will need a unified threat management device, and these are invariably quite expensive and often require subscriptions. If you run antivirus/antimalware on your devices anyway I would use that to control internet access (we use Kaspersky Endpoint Security).

If you still want a UTM firewall then the current Sophos offerings are hard to beat. If you wince at the price though I'm afraid it doesn't get much better.

Draytek 2860 would probably be enough for that amount of connections. Not the prettiest thing to configure, but it's an all-in-one box and a fairly solid performer.
