Hello,

I've had a few first drafts of some logo designs through.

Bear in mind this is for a woodland retreat business, aiming at the luxury end of the market, roll top copper bathtubs, treehouses, hot tubs etc.

Target market is couples from towns and cities, between about 25 and 50

This logo will feature quite heavily, towels, toiletries, leaflets, website, uniforms etc, so we want a strong and timeless brand image.

I'm 99% that none of the designs below will be "the one" and they need a little bit of work to refine them, but at this stage, what's the most visually impacting, what portrays the business best and ultimately, what's your favourite?

Thanks smile

i choose 4, but first thoughts were Edgar Alan Poe crossed with the wickerman. 4 was the simplest.

For me the closest is 3, however, I voted none, because even 3 is not quite right. 1,2 & 4 do not convey the right message in my opinion.

2, but make it look a little less autumnal - The leaves look dead! Quite like the graphic on 1 but the font is too clinical, 3 is too fussy and 4 looks like a copper wiring company.

4 - simple and sophisticated and my PA agrees too (though she won't be coming to the spa with me).

A good sounding word that makes us unique on google/fecebook/insta smile

We also get LOTS of Ravens and deers in the woods, so a play on that.

Voted 4, but it is more like a spa hotel or something. The first, and to an extent the second look like barbed wire or something on my small screen!

Not keen on any.

1 - trees don't grow sideways; bloodshot eyeball
2 - a hoop you have to jump through
3 - Victoian gothic raven is going to pack my eyes out
4 - looks like a printing error

3 of them have a circle - was that in the broef?

Yes we suggested that we liked the idea of a nest

Ravens - birds - nest - trees - treehouse - home

2. But perhaps make some changes - make it look more like a spring/summer flowery decorative thing rather the sparse autumnal version it currently appears to be.

(what I'm actually visualising is like a delicate floral arrangement that wispy maidens wear on their hair)

Does the motif have to feature curved lines - perhaps you could have many different types of grass, flower, thistle etc in a circular arrangement instead?

I'm surprised that so many people like 4 - it's terrible IMO - makes it look like a prison camp, or on a letter it will look like you were testing the pen laugh

I don't think any of them are great, if it were me I'd be working on refining 1, particularly the image.

1. Is just odd. Trees don't grow sideways. Its a visual typo, and as such is jarring
2. My choice. I actually like the autumnal colours unlike some on here. Autumnal makes we think of relaxing, cosy, woodlands, family. A more summery colour scheme would make me think more active, sporty, energetic... so it depends on yor taget market.
3. It's OK. Distinctive but looks serious - more solicitor than holiday
4. No. Just no.

2 is the best one.
3 is absolutely awful.
4 is a copy of another brand but can't remember who...

Olde worlde go 2, if modern minimalist go 1.

3 is bloody awful. 4 looks like a "concept company" like alternative recruitment, or some form of consultancy. It's just too sterile to look welcoming.

3 is far, far too busy I think and I agree on 4 as well - it looks quite 'big corporate' - like a hotel brand, rather than an individual boutique type operation.

A sort of hybrid between 1 and 2 would work. The above advice is quite good. Personally - and this will sound odd - they are a little too 'stylish' - something I would associate with a city business.

The key is trying to be a little more homely/rural/rustic without being twee. It only needs a little nudge in that direction though.

I know this is articulate pretty poorly, but I suppose its where designers earn their money!

I did think that about 4, too, but can't place it.

Number two for me. The font looks 'classy' but the logo needs some subtle colour; brown branches and green leaves would make it better (watercolour style).
