What to invest in?
Discussion
I’m sixty-six, married, 3 adult kids, good health, good pension so I can save over a 1000 month. Own two houses, one rented out. 3 cars including a weekend fun car. 80k in bank doing nothing and accumulating.
Want to invest in something for the future but what?

How about a villa somewhere sunny you can visit a few weeks a year and rent out the rest of the time? Or ski chalet/apartment?Want to invest in something for the future but what?

Just stuck for ideas as I cannot just sit around and do nothing with the money.
Actually, that's what quite a few old coffin dodgers with money do......sit around and do nothing. As one, I have to say, it's become quite a favourite pastime.
Persevere. You may come to enjoy it.
Go motor racing (not an investment!):
Ginetta do a novice series that I've just done first year of.
Caterham Academy again for novices
Fun Cup (Team 7 Racing do an Academy programme)
P.S. If you want to do Ginetta my G40 is for sale until mid week when Ginetta will be buying it back off me if no one else does.

On a whim I'm looking for a supplier of the plastic flower heads in this product
https://www.roller.de/Lampen-und-Leuchten/Stehlamp...
for an art installation. If you know someone then ... I need about 100
Yes I know I'm mad.
Unfortunately the importer I identified will not sell parts of the unit to me.

That's the rental house in Austria
How about a private pilots licence?

What's the appeal in selling back to Ginetta over privately? I've seen a few Ginetta owners mention selling their G40R's back to them. Other than the obvious advantage of not having to wait months for a buyer.troublesbrewing said:

Do you want a 'project investment' - something to get involved in, or something that will manage your money with only occasional access/maintenance?

In the 'close but no cigar' league there's a few on ebay that are similar. Item numbers 142087737333, 182238557341, 142060003970https://www.roller.de/Lampen-und-Leuchten/Stehlamp...
