I've been looking for a Sony M5 sim free phone and had a look on Ebay. There is someone selling what they claim are new UK sourced ones for £185 along with various other electronic gadgets for competitive prices.

I have asked if they have a physical shop but they replied "I don't have a store lol" So it's fair to say that they are probably selling from home part time, so have little expenses and are not bothering with VAT and income tax but how can they even source their stock to sell at this price?

got a link?

Interested to see what else they are selling. When browsing alphabay on the "dark web" one night i found some random items for sale by one seller. One was a liter bottle of Vodka. So i ordered one just to see, 50% of the price at the shop. It arrived in Amazon packaging from Amazon warehouse. Either the person worked there and was just sending stuff out or he had stolen accounts?,

I always wonder about the phone sellers too. I mean, who the hell has 500 odd iPhones to sell?

In my experience as the items in question were stolen. Bought a nice (for me!) watch priced at 20% below what anyone else had it advertised for. He had quite a few for sale. Seller was local to where I worked and I even called at his house to pick it up and avoid postage costs. 18 months later there was an article in the local rag - he'd been sent down along with a few others for multiple thefts from curtain sided trucks. Total haul was >£1m IIRC.

I still have my 'proceeds of crime'.

I don't know about this perticular seller, but a friend of mine used to buy refurbished Iphone 5c's from Alibaba
and sell them on as new models on eBay. They used to come in sealed boxes just like brand new ones with all the accessories.
You'd only know they wasn't brand new if you typed the imei number in to Apples website, which most people didn't.
