Opening a business account on ebay...

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't my way around ebay. I opened an account about 10 yrs ago but have never sold anything, and have only bought 2 or 3 items. I don't visit ebay very often.

I have a pro-merchant account on Amazon and have been successfully selling on there for the past 9 years. I now want to do similar with ebay as I have noticed a few items that I sell on Amazon are higher priced on ebay.

I need to dip my toe in ebay - perhaps start by listing a few items and then gradually increase as I get used to the selling platform, fees etc.

Does anyone have any tips for starting a business account on ebay?

Are you able to have 2 accounts on ebay - one for personal and one for business? (This isn't allowed on Amazon)

Can you have a different storefront name to your legal trading name? (I am LTD and on Amazon this is allowed)

Is there a contact telephone number for ebay? (When I opened my Amazon account 9 yrs ago you could speak to someone in this country from the business team)

Start as soon as you can. Your early months will be limited by unit and value volume. Each money you'll have to phone them up to bump the limits up. It was hard work for the first few months getting sales volumes up.

You can have different personal and business accounts but I never bothered, just used to by the odd thing I wanted for myself using the business account as it bumped up the feedback. Talking of feedback, buy things you need from ebay to help the feedback.

Somewhere in the menu structure is a place to ask for a phone contact. It's hard work finding it and I've not been ebaying in a few years so I can't remember where it is.
