I've been renting a DM50 for years now, and this year they've finally dropped the extortionate reset fee for new mail rates.

Except the effing m/c will not update - it's been trying to update since last month (!) but fails every time.

Good 'ole PB automated voice system is not taking any calls now (WTF?) on this matter, but they do advise to try and connect at 'any' time during the day. Except this is an office and like most other offices, we're only here during office hours (when everyone else is trying to update too).

Rant over. Anyone else affected out there in PH land?

I absolutely DETEST pitney bowes and their stty franking service and equipment with an unhealthy vengeance. By far and away the worst, most dishonest shower of incompetent s I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Thankfully I no longer use their franking machine (even though we're tied into paying rental for it until 2019). It's cheaper for us to use a Royal Mail PPI account and the service is infinitely better.

Have you considered going for an account direct with Royal Mail?

Their sales team are hilarious. Every 2 weeks i get a call ' Do you need any supplies'

In terms of help OP, i can offer none. I think our update went relatively smoothly

Sorted - despite many unanswered emails and the useless automated telephony service..

The old trick of cancel my account - get through to different dept. (in the Philippines, naturally) who escalate my case to a higher level, and - lo and behold - I get a visit within 24 hours by a nice bod who plugs the m/c into his laptop and uploads the data.

Thankfully this years rate increase update is free - previously they charged £££ for this unavoidable change.

They are a shower. But, having had Neopost before they're not too dissimilar. All of them are operating in a cosy cartel which is dying on it's feet.

Been good for me, ive been with them 2 years.
I received an email a few weeks back about a new customer deal (only found out the new customer deal aspect) when I called up. £5pm less rental and £30 free postage.
DM50...still have the original one. Although I have to reboot everytime I want to add on postage.
Its updated with the latest rates (some of them are a pee take for sure ie international standard letter, up over 10p)

But all in all a fairly ok service...not world beaters but decent

The RM direct, any links to their deals? Cheaper than PB direct then?

These people forged signatures from my wife and tied them into a long contract. Glad she finally got rid of them the thieving scum.
