Hi,

I'm looking for a few pointers please....

I'm setting up a new service (medical related) aimed primarily at women. Overt advertising is frowned upon and is quite strictly regulated.

I have the usual digital/social media things covered but can anyone suggest anything different (that will not break the bank)

Sorry for the cryptic description btw.

Thanks

Is it the sort of thing that you could use a brand ambassador for?

Get some "celeb" type to recommend it / be the face of it

I assume it is something 'intimate'?

In terms of breaking the bank, forget that and look at what gives your ROI. I know a company that does circumcisions that can't really advertise but gets all its customers through PPC. That may work for you?

Good morning, I gather you're agent for Nell McAndrew? Yes? Excellent. We've been brainstorming in the office and we really think she's exactly the vibrant confident modern woman we're looking for to be the face of our new range of pershanties. Do you think that'd be something she'd be interested in? Pershanties. Per-sh-anties, they're high-quality Internet of Things powered panties that are extra absorbent to soak up period sts....

You'd need to be a bit more specific, there are a million ways to target women but without knowing what it is...

And as for 'frowned upon'- by who? It's quite simple, advertising is either allowed (most things), not allowed (like tobacco) or restricted (like gambling). For me I wouldn't be caring too much if 'the industry' approves or not.

Although again without knowing what it is...

Thanks for the advice.

The issue is that it isn't based in the UK but in the ME and as such medical related advertising is quite strictly regulated

The ME and MENA regions are prolific users of direct marketing for this very reason.

Find a local list broker and hire or buy a list of names and addresses that fit your market profile and send single samples.

At the same time, run a targeting social media campaign to the same demographic.

And also around the same time, invest in point-of-sale displays for use in key retail outlets.

Use a message that promotes the overarching benefits, not the problem and solution. For example; don't use something like: "No more sweaty, smelly fannies with Dr Franks Fanny Deodorisers".....Use: "Freshness and Confidence from dawn to dusk....and beyond".
