This Guy Has Taken It To The Max ! Marketing ,,,,,

Yesterday I drove past a huge queue for an ice cream van (s) I mean really huge about 60+ (in a suburb not the seafront and at 6pm) but thought nothing of it I was just impressed at the queue.
That night whilst checking my FB for random peoples pictures of dogs, kids and Diane Abbott I came across a long post that had hundreds of comments and without me wittering on you can do a google search for "Mr Tee King Of Desserts" - for an ice cream man he is on top of his digital marketing game with a "Mr Whippy ram raids Iceland and a sweet shop" product range plus a secret location and a share me to death social strategy - its bloody ice cream!
If you can be bothered see this link http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink...

He is causing a storm! Although I note he is breaking Facebooks rules by asking for shares of his posts and page as a condition of entry into his competitions.
I dont think he is in it for the long term, also he thinks his gourmet desserts should be in the supermarkets - its whippy and added crap FFS!However when presented with an ice cream van he has maxed out the earning potential of the van and for that he has my admiration.

The article suggests he runs 4 vans.A semi-retired friend of my dad's does it during summer, Profit margins are pretty good but the trading days are limited. However when presented with an ice cream van he has maxed out the earning potential of the van and for that he has my admiration.

I saw this the other day parked up in Kwik fit car park in Winsford, Cheshire.
The queue would have been like 90mins+ absolutely unreal.
It is just basic my whippy with a cheap donut or some sweets shoved in it isn't it?
My condolences for having the misfortune to find yourself in Windsford, I hope you weren't too scared by the ordeal. The queue would have been like 90mins+ absolutely unreal.

Knowing the typical "Windsfordian" I am not surprised they went mental for a fancy sugar fix.

That's excellent. I reckon the video cost more to produce than the car is worth though....boyse7en said:
