We use to get a lot of success on FB Ads, Even spending £200 on a campaign would generate a lot of sales, but it seems likes the last few months its just no where near as effective.

We do competitions for likes etc with great giveaways, but again they don't seem as effective.

Is Facebook monitoring my actively and trying to draw more money from me?

Is my methods outdated?

Any decent guides about to educate me a bit?

This kind of advertising is outdated ... what you're looking for is targeted mass marketing .. what is your product ?

I attended a couple of facebook talks at a business expo earlier this week and picked up quite a few ideas and tips.

Facebook constantly changes the algorithm, because it worked before does not mean it will work now. As quickly as you master it they change again.

Currently for targeted adverts posts with an image that contains no text in the image will perform well. This must be unique advert content and not a copy advert from the main page.

Also Video is currently having a lot of push to try to compete with Youtube so a video advert will outperform photo.

Facebook live is also a big deal so try posting on that - They suggested Friday afternoons were a very good time at the talk.

The post you make around the competition or advert should be long enough for the viewer to have to click see more and scroll down.

Try and post 2 similar items one video / one picture and watch the difference in reach on the video.

You just don't want to people feel like it's just boring ad as the generic Facebook advertising does ..

As stated above video promotion is more catchy right now

I just finished 20 days campaign for one unnamed German company they supplied me with nice promo video and the rest went on its own with unbelievable results ! don't forgot if you have your YouTube channel you need subscribers and views and also general traffic into your website is what you're after for long term prosperity of your business..

Is your product the type that a social influencer could promote ? Guy I know with a watch brand had huge success using Geordie shore types.
