Hello, I used Jamie on PH in the past for debt recovery and he was great but I cannot seem to track him down, it has been a while?

Can anyone recommend a good debt recovery agent for recovering some 5 figure sums from quite a large franchisor that is not paying some very overdue debts, on behalf of a colleague of mine.

Many thanks.

Look up the guys who they use on "Don't Pay, we'll take it away". They recovered a debt for us very efficiently recently.

I've used Sid Home at Safe Collections (safe-collections.com) before, great chap and company to deal with - 01772 454505.

I presume you'll need some kind of court judgement before you can send High Court bailiffs in - that is what they enforce. But when you get that far, they are very good.

Yes exactly, just wanted to find someone that would handle the who process if possible. Thanks to all so far.

you'll need to obtain a judgement via moneyclaim online first. Once you have done this, you should be able to escalate to the high court and obtain a high court writ for an enforcement officer to pick up the case - the cost of escalating is £66 from memory . Once you have your judgement from Moneyclaim online, you can find a registered enforcement officer on this website - https://www.hceoa.org.uk/

Hope it helps!

I've used Thomas Higgins associates a few times.
Majority was done online and went from start to finish (collection) via them.

Used them on and off for many years, quite cost effective.

Wow, it works up to £100K! I thought the online service was just Small Claims.

People I know in the industry roll their eyes & snigger at the antics shown on Can't Pay... I'm aware of how TV edits things though smile It's certainly good advertising for DCBL.

My recommendation would be Colin at www.matrixlegal.co.uk - recovered stuff for me in the past very efficiently. Get in quick though, he may be retiring soon.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. To be honest, that's not what we were too worried about.

What was of concern to us is that the people used in the past were totally unresponsive - couldn't be bothered to get back to us.

DBCL were incredibly efficient (as are we), did what they said they'd do...when they said they'd do it. Money in the account when they said it would be.

The TV edits may make it look different to how it actually was - we are only concerned about the end result and the pain in getting there.

If it ends up on a show somewhere I'll post it here.
