Electricity supplier?
Discussion
None of them are perfect, they go through peaks and troughs of service too. Personally I would avoid Extra, Dual, Scottish Power, BGB.
E-on and SSE are 2 of the better 'big' suppliers for Business supplies (from a service/admin) view point.
Send me a pm and I'll send you a link where you can search prices. I don't think mods will let me post the link here because we'll earn micro and I mean micro commissions if you take out a contract via the link i.e. it might buy me a pint.

I am using the "Flipper" service - you give them your details and pay them something like £25 per year and they keep the market under regular review and switch you automatically as and when new or better deals come along. They (say) they don't get paid a commission from the supplier either so in theory it should be work out in the customer's favour.
As they have your details, they deal with the switching, setting up a new account with the new supplier etc.
I've been with them 5 months and I'm on my second supplier already.

Well, quick update. We went with extra. Who went bankrupt and sold our account back to Scottish Power!
They have sent us a bill and the unit price is 2.5x the rate we were paying. Spoke to them and they say they are working within the rules set out by OFGEM.
We are only a small company but I cant imagine a big factory somewhere that uses say £10k a quarter getting a bill for £25k.

When a supplier goes bust, OFGEM can transfer you you to a new supplier. BUT you are then free to leave the new supplier chosen for you and you would have received a letter outlining the steps you can take. They have sent us a bill and the unit price is 2.5x the rate we were paying. And you are wrong, a £10k a month customer will get a £25k bill.
The energy rates have gone up since 2017 so the rate offered is a current market rate, it's by no means tightly competitive but it's also not a terrible rate, just mid-market.
