Just get one thing wrong with dealing with the public, and suddenly your restaurant/cafe has made the headlines in the Daily Mail!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4812284/Mo...

I'm inclined to side with the parent. I run a very small business myself, and I'd like to think that in a similar situation we'd help the parent, we certainly would never speak disrespectfully to a customer.

I guess the coming bank holiday weekend tell the owners whether they still have a business or not. smile

IF he shouted at her he needs some anger management training but I wouldn't be very happy to see a dirty nappy being changed while I was eating my lunch , I assume she came in a car with the kids so had somewhere private and safe to use, just chose not to

'She is mother twins Luca and Zack, 1, and said change facilities were big enough'

What kind of English is this?

And no, I don't want to see nappies being changed while I'm eating.

My guess is that they do still have a business. In fact, their business may even be enhanced.

Shouted at? All depends, I know one person who thinks they've been shouted at if spoken to in anything other than "walking on eggshells" tone. Yes they are a snowflake. Yet the same person often has, when they are speaking to others, a most strident in your face manner.

It would depend on what their definition of 'shouted at' really is, asking someone politely to not change a nappy around where people are eating is a perfectly reasonable request in my eyes. Actually shouting about it though would border on an unreasonable response.

However I would question the integrity of the average daily mail reader to actually give an accurate representation of the events that took place when they are trying to get their story in that paper.

Lucky you. I work with a whole bunch of them.

I suspect the business will continue quite happily without her or those who would sympathise. Must have been a slow news day.., you know, no Donny, terrorists, NK to worry about.

At the end of the day 99% of the population couldn't care less despite what they may say on FB.

They may lose this woman and a couple of other nutters but i see that as a positive personally.

I never knew about the place before and no doubt 100's of thousands of others didn't either, they do now. I'd say that's a win for the restaurant.

In regards to this incident though the fact that she thinks there is nothing wrong with having a naked child with chicken pox with a nappy full of crap in hand right next to people eating lunch says it all really.

I'm sure this can be put in both the "kids with stupid names" thread and the "council" thread.

Definitely this, I can't believe a responsible adult would be this thoughtless and inconsiderate towards others.
Nappy thing is secondary and wouldn't necessarily be a big issue for me assuming it wasn't next to where people were eating. Although I'd guess consideration for others wasn't high on her list.

There's clearly a lot more detail to the event that is missing from the story. Until we get closer to the truth I'd defer my decision on who should have received a boot in the hole.

TO be honest I'd be a bit put off my dinner by a stty nappy being changed.

A parent of twins is going to have issues. I accept that. I can't imagine that a cafe owner would necessarily make a changing room big enough for two toddlers. But a less militant mother may have gone somewhere more discreet....
